FIELD NOTES FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE

THE KUMIVERSE.

Kumi came from somewhere. Unfortunately, we kept asking questions.

PLANET KUMICHAN

A PLACE WITH TOO MANY NAMED DISTRICTS.

The Hatchfields. Bubble Coast. Mount Nappa. Glitter Basin. Rainbow Rift. Quiet Lake. Neon Marsh. Sticker City. Department Valley. Nothing District. This is not enough geography, but it is a start.

THE HATCH

FIRST A ROCK. THEN A HUM. THEN A PROBLEM.

A Kumi begins inside a mineral-like Hatch Rock: silent, then glowing, then cracking and humming, then suddenly not a rock anymore. The Kumi on Earth emerged from Hatch Rock No. 07.

Creatures, places, objects, myths, accidents, and increasingly unnecessary lore live here. Kumichan knows the canon and will tell you when the records become suspicious.
